Do I need a partner? Preferably yes! As our pupils learn as couples in our classes they don’t move from one partner to another.
What should I wear? Smart casual is normal.
Do I need special dancing shoes? Not to start with. Just be comfortable and ensure your shoes stay on your feet unaided. Try to avoid ‘flip-flop’ type shoes.
What dances do you teach in the classes? The ballroom dances are Waltz, Foxtrot, Tango and Quickstep. The Latin American dances are Cha Cha Cha, Jive, Samba and Rumba.
Can I join any week? You certainly can. Although we focus on two dances for a few weeks at a time, new dancers are helped individually in the Beginners’ class for the first few weeks.
What sort of age group are in the class? We’ve got dancers from their 20s to their 60s, so everyone will fit in.
